Our testing time is 4 days for Home DNA tests, and 5 to business days for Legal Testing which requires more admin/paperwork. Times vary depending on how busy the laboratory is. We do have express options available.
We test 24 regions of DNA in each person (that’s a lot). This drastically increases the accuracy.
We typically get higher than 99.9999% without the mother, and usually obtain 99.99999999% with the Mother’s DNA included in the test. Other relationship tests (ie. brother to sister tests) can vary between 99% to 99.9%. Some laboratories only guarantee to test to 99% although they state ‘we commonly achieve 99.99%’. Our tests are guaranteed to achieve the highest accuracy to cost ratio of any other laboratory.
We can work with a variety of biological samples. However, for paternity testing we recommend a mouth swab, as this is completely reliable and painless. Otherwise you can use things like nail clippings or a used toothbrush to be discrete. (note: these non-standard samples have an extra fee).
